Didn't like that Alternative was added? No problem. RadioDetox: Rehab for shitty music. Here's the FIFTH edition of the "RadioDetox" newsletter. Click "Read more..." to see what's new (a good amount). It's been a few months since the last update and it was pretty obvious that adding more Alternative was a bad choice. Although I didn't hear back from many of my listeners about this, there were a lot of Thumbs Down to these tracks and I saw that fewer listeners were tuning in. So, PUNK & SKA styles are where it's at. The station is now broadcasting at 64k mp3PRO so the audio quality is much better. I may be wrong, but it looks to me like more broadband listeners tune in to Internet radio, so I decided to change all songs to that bitrate. Of course, this means that a ton of songs had to be removed, but sometimes that's how it goes... WHAT'S NEW: - Stream is 64K mp3PRO for better sound - You'll only hear PUNK & SKA now - Deleted a lot of songs that didn't fit (like Alternative) - No more specialty shows - Station will be updated more frequently So, yeah, it was time to go back to how the station used to be ("Ska, Punk & Other Junk" anyone?). You'll only hear PUNK & SKA styles now. And, since it was definitely time to hear different songs from certain bands, I replaced songs by Big D and the Kids Table, Bouncing Souls, The Clash, Goldfinger, Kemuri, Madcap, Operation Ivy, River City Rebels, Swingin' Utters, and more. --- Jailhouse!
